Originally from Clinton, Dr. Richard Bonness graduated from South Vermillion High School before going on to attend Indiana University, where he earned his BS in Biochemistry and his DDS. Throughout 2001, he served as an associate dentist in northeast and south Indianapolis before opening his Camby office in 2002.
Dr. Bonness is an active member of several prominent organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Indianapolis District Dental Society, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Likewise, he has also been the recipient of several awards and honors. At Indiana University he was a distinguished graduate and an inductee of Phi Beta Kappa. He was also a National Board of Dental Examiners medalist and has contributed to research on porphyromonas gingivalis.
Because Dr. Bonness knows what it’s like to be a patient, he strives to make everyone who comes through our door feel welcome. …He’s also deeply concerned with helping our patients understand their oral health.
Outside of work, Dr. Bonness has volunteered with local Cub Scout packs and at Sodalis Nature Park. He enjoys camping, canoeing, spending time with his wonderful children, and working on home improvement projects.
