Dr. Richard Thomas Brittingham, MD

I was dr Brittingham’s patient for 6 years and was so sad to hear he’s retired now ?? He took very good care of me and I don’t think I’ll ever find another dr like him! Sure do miss you dr.b

Dr. B should not trust his office manager or whomever is conning him into believing the staff are ok. They're not! Getting a prescription filled can be difficult. Very difficult. Anyone you talk to there acts like they're doing you a huge favor just to speak with you. I cannot prove it, but I believe they have lied to me as well, saying prescriptions have been called in when they have not been. Dr. B himself is a "treat them and street them" doctor. That means he tells his staff to overbook patients, spends the least amount of time with them as possible, and sends them on their way. He's always in a rush. Doesn't listrn well. The wait times are ridiculous. I'm sure he's getting very rich but it's at the expense of his patients' well being.

I have been with Dr. Brittingham since just after my retirement from the Army. I have found him to be courteous, yet consistently firm & thorough in his practice. He takes time to listen to any & all my concerns. His staff is equally attentive in their duties toward their patients. I recommend him to all who ask about good doctors in Lawton/Ft. Sill area. Dr. Brittingham is a very caring doctor. I always enjoy my checkups and he makes me feel very comfortable. He takes the time to listen and he explains things in a way you can understand. The best doctor I have ever seen.

Dr. Brittingham is a very caring doctor who is very thorough, listens to our concerns, answers any questions that we have and makes sure that my husband and I who are seniors are up to date on all the necessary tests needed for good health. He is not only our doctor but we feel he is a valuable friend.

Both my husband and I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Brittingham for our doctor. We are both seniors in our late 70's and Dr. Brittingham does his best to keep us healthy. He can be blunt when you need to hear the truth but he has always been correct and he is happy when you follow his suggestions. He has a great sense of humor and I have never found him to be mean spirited. He is quite busy and it is harder to get a last minute appointment but he now has a nurse practitioner that has been very helpful to me along with her nurse Jennifer. I love both of them. The receptionists are outstanding. However, some of the "nurses" don't follow up on returning phone calls or even calling in the prescriptions to the correct pharmacy. This has been the only problem.

Dr. Brittingham is a very good doctor, kind, compassionate and friendly, taking his time with us patients. A great thing too, is that the waiting time to see him is a little better. However, getting an appointment to see him unless you are booked weeks in advanced, is virtually nil. Some of his nurses are not as good as they should be.

Very Good Dr. and spends time with you, doesn't rush and try to get you out the door!!!

Diagnosed me with insomnia and anxiety and gave one try to fix it. My next follow up I told him the medicine didn't work. He said that it was alright and its all part of growing up. I'm almost 30 and already grown. I feel like he did not care about my medical conditions or me in general. My advice to him is that it don't matter how much you know until his patients knows much he cares!
