Richard Edmund Byrne, MD

Dr. Richard Byrne is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sleep medicine specialist with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of sleep disorders. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in sleep medicine at the University of Rochester.Dr. Byrne is board certified in both Sleep Medicine and Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has achieved Inspire Care Pathway Certification, reflecting expertise in the management of patients undergoing Inspire® upper airway stimulation therapy for obstructive sleep apnea. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Byrne has volunteered with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), contributing to the development, review, and editing of board certification and physician training examination questions.
