Dr. Richard Ford Carter JR.

He's been cheating on his wife with my now ex girlfriend who is half his age and a nurse that works in the pacu under him. It has gone on for over a year now. I can't completely blame him because she's garbage too but he knew about me and my four-year-old son and still didn't hesitate to help ruin my family and greatly affect my son's life. He will get what's coming to him though. I'll make sure of that. Don't know his wife but she deserves better.

I am writing this review for Dr. Carter and his staff. I have on too many occasions, gone to appointments where not only do you wait for an inconsiderate amount of time, the staff could be reminded of simple common courtesy. We all have bad days however, not only in a customer service capacity but more importantly in that type of environment, the last thing a patient wants to deal with is negativity from staff. All of the staff I have dealt with not only in his office, but in the surgery room as well, is extremely pleasant and while I do not want to go back, I do not mind as much.

Dr Carter is a kind,compassionate , excellent surgeon. He is a good listener and explains things in a very easy to understand professional manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Carter if you are in need of a Surgeon.

This was my first visit to Dr Carter and I had lots of questions that he answered for me. While the ultrasound was being done he explained and showed what was on the screen. He then performed a biopsy that was painless. Dr. Carter called personally with the good news. It was a very good experience.

Facing surgery most often brings apprehension and anxiety. Those emotions were exactly what I was experiencing. My family doctor recommended Dr Carter and an initial appointment was quickly made. Dr. Carter and staff immediately made me feel at ease and explained the upcoming procedure, all the while giving me options to consider. Recovery was rapid. Dr Carter and staff have continued to provide exceptional care during follow up visits.

DR. CARTER HAS BEEN THE BEST PHYSICIAN I HAVE EVER HAD. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT IF I EVER NEED A SURGEON FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, DR. CARTER IS MY ONLY CHOICE. HE IS KNOWLEDGEABLE, CARING, DOWN TO EARTH, AND AT A VERY TURBULENT TIME HEALTHWISE WITH A DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER IN 2014, AND MANY PROCEDURES LATER, GAVE ME A SENSE OF PEACE THAT I WAS IN GOOD HANDS. I RECENTLY UNDERWENT A DOUBLE MASTECTOMY. A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE SURGERY DR. CARTER CALLED ME JUST TO MAKE SURE I WAS OKAY AND CLEAR WITH THE PROCEDURE AND TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS I MAY HAVE. THAT ONE GESTURE MEANT SO MUCH TO ME, AND ONLY SOLIDIFIED MY FEELING EVEN MORE THAT I HAVE THE BEST SURGEON IN RICHMOND, VA.

Dr. Carter answered all my questions. He and the entire staff went above and beyond.

This office was wonderful from the person who scheduled the appointment, to the nurse to the doctor. Really liked them alot. They all listened!

I have been to see Dr. Carter once in preparation for an operation. My husband and I were both impressed with his knowledge, propensity to clearly share and explain his procedures, the time he spent with us, and the positive experience in the midst of a difficult time.

Dr. Richard Carter is the best he's very attentive to your needs. Takes time to explain everything to you as to where you can understand the procedure that will be performed. He has always cared about my well being. I wish all doctors would take time to know you and show that they care about your overall general health.
