Dr. Richard A Cascio Jr, MD

It looks like the job was well done but the Dr. never introduced himself, or initiated any conversation before or after my EGD. I had my glasses off and couldn't see too well but - wanting to make a connection of some kind before the procedure started/ anaesthesia kicked in - I called out (medium tone) "Dr. Cascio!?". He responded "yes" (from a distance) and I told him about 30 seconds worth of details to which he responded (in a pleasant tone - but still from a distance) "sounds good, you should be cleaned out". Perhaps it was a particularly busy day but I've never experienced that before. Had requested him bc I remember having a good experience with a colonoscopy back in 2011. The anesthesiologist seemed to know what he was doing (too) but was a bit curt in his manner, also, unlike what I've experienced before procedures in the past; I could tell the anaesthesia was coming by the cool sensation in my veins but no one said a thing just prior. I stayed pretty relaxed nevertheless ,… thinking to myself "here it comes! :) All that being said - I'm thinking they must have done a good job & now i just await the results of a couple biopsies taken.

Made appointment with Dr cascio, arrived at appointment was told that I would NOT be seeing this doctor. The receptionist was very rude and said I would be seeing the nurse practitioner Kianna Lyons, tried asking why I wasn't seeing the doctor, was not given an answer. Waited for more than 45 minutes. The medical assistant that took me back to the room was very rude, condescending, and disrespectful. I then waited another 30 minutes for the nurse practitioner Kianna Lyons, she was very rude, Condescending and disrespectful, she made me feel very discriminated against. I Have elevated liver enzymes, and the first thing she said was, we need to do a liver biopsy. The NP proceeded to treat me like an idiot. She didn't want to hear any of the other conditions i have or any other symptoms that i have. I refused the liver biopsy, she kept pressuring me about having the liver biopsy done. I kept refusing. I kept asking if there were any other non-invasive testing was available. Finally she… said we could do some lab tests, really how hard is it to get non-invasive tests done first? I took lab request to get blood work, went to Quest Diagnostics, found out the NP didn't put the diagnosis codes on for tests. The technician called the office on speaker phone, on my request so I could hear the call, to get diagnosis codes and the office told her there were no other diagnosis codes. Really! Refused to give the diagnosis codes, without the diagnosis codes, insurance will Not pay. So I didn't get the blood tests done. Felt discriminated against and very disrespected. I proceeded to call and cancel upcoming appointment. Will never return to this practice. Would never recommend this practice to anyone.

Had to interrupt to ask question. Did not make eye contact when talking and appeared not especially interested. Seemed tired because late aft. appt. gotten after previous cancellation

This is seriously the most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with. The Dr. told me to get a test scheduled and when I talked to the staff they did not even know the name of the test I was talking about and I had to call several times to set it up. I waited about a month before it was even scheduled and then another month to get it done. When I finally got the test done they told me I would have the results in a week. I called once to twice a week for four weeks before they even dictated the results. The Dr. isn't bad overall but the staff is terribly slow and not very intelligent.

I was in and out before I knew it. Excellent and efficient staff. Everyone was very professional and pleasant. They treated me like I was at a high class resort hotel and wasted no time in getting all the prep work done prior to my procedure. Dr. Cascio came in prior to the procedure and after explained findings, etc. Wish all medical facilities were as efficient and professional.

I found Dr. Cascio to be very easy to speak with, he made me feel a ease.

Dr. Cascio is professional and thorough. A good experience.
