When was the last time you met someone you instantly liked? How nice would it be if the next time that happened to you was at a time you needed a radiation oncology specialist. That is what happened to my wife and I when we met Dr. Richard Cassidy. His exceptional personality and obvious understanding of his craft left my wife and I believing I was in the right hands. Forty sessions of external beam radiation later have only certified that view. Thank you Dr. Cassidy for all you and your team have done.

When a new cancer patient is looking for a good doctor, there are several things that are most important: compassion, knowledge, and professionalism are just to name a few. So, when I entered the offices of Cancer Specialists of North Florida all my concerns going forward were quickly abated! From Dr. Cassidy, the radiology specialists, to the nurses, the staff, and those who first greeted me at the front desk, I was met with "smiles" of true caring and compassion! On first meeting until he releases you to the Oncologists for extended care, Dr. Cassidy responds with an empathetic ear; focusing on your needs with an uplifting spirit, exercising courtesy, and compassion (which is so needed in these stressful situations!) With knowledge, experience, and a very noticeable strong work ethic, patience and attentiveness exude from Dr. Cassidy and his precious staff. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this doctor, radiology, and his staff to patients who are now facing the challenges of the diagnosis of… cancer!!

Dr. Richard Cassidy III is taking wonderful care of my 87yo dad who is starting his 6th and final week of radiation for throat cancer. He kindly listens and answers all of our questions and it's amazing how he is always ahead of my dad's pain and discomforts. He will tell us each week what to expect and sure enough he is always spot on. Dr. Cassidy has an outstanding nurse, Sherease, who listens so carefully and makes sure that every little detail we tell her is put in the computer for the doctor to see! All of our appointments are so pleasant and the compassion for patients and family members just shines in this whole office! When we have to call with a question or problem everyone in the office is very professional and they make sure Dr. Cassidy gets our message and we get our answer. Thank you Dr. Cassidy, the entire staff, and the radiation therapist for taking such good care of my dad!!!
