Dr. Richard Lee Chang, MD

Dr. Chang always listens to what I say about my condition, and what has been bothering me the most. He is very thorough, and always has suggestions to help me with new or old symptoms beginning with that day!

Excellent attention to the needs of each patient without excess wait times in either the waiting room or the exam room.

I would not trust anyone else but Dr. Chang for my condition! He is the BEST!

Dr Chang a very well educated professional that spent 200% time with the patient during the assessment and pay attention to detail without missing anything coming from the patient. He is extremely compassionate doctor but in addtion to that he is extremely competent and experienced. This is a patient review the only thing that motivates me to write this review is I feel confident being treated by Doctor Chang.

He walks in the room and shakes your hand and talks to you to find out how can he help me. He knows me. And treats me like I'm in the pain and I live in pain every day. He gives me shots and when he hurts you he says I'm sorry. He knows what he's doing.

The staff asked me to show up 15 minutes early to do paper work which at the time I made a joke that I'll probably be waiting long enough to fill out 100 sheets. Sadly, it actually happened. I arrived at 10:45 for an 11:00 appointment. They didn't take me out of the waiting room till 12:45. Then I waiting in the exam room for another hour. After all that waiting nonsense was over, I met with Dr. Chang and he was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about my rare condition. He listened to all my questions and actually put some thought into his answers. Overall I'm pretty happy but somethings gotta be done about that waiting time. I had another appointment 2 and a half hours after that one and I had to miss it. I know the doctors time is very valuable; I just wish they acted like my time is valuable too.

BEST DOCTOR !!!! Dr. Richard Chang MD is the best doctor I have ever visited, he is very professional, attentive and very human. He is very knowledgeable in his specialty, he treats the patients very nice, respectfully and with a lot of kindness. I will recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Chang has been my rheumatologist for the last five years. He is a caring and compassionate doctor. He has a gently manner but is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He treats my lupus and fibromyalgia and has always been open to trying natural methods of healing instead of always writing a prescription. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate doctor.

I live in Michigan, but my husband works in the FL Keys. I have seen pretty much every RA specialist with-in a 5 hour drive in MI and I would NOT recommend ANY of them. I started seeing Dr. Chang years ago while in FL to see my husband. He is kind, helpful and he takes the time to listen to all of my concerns. I no longer see ANY RA doctors in MI. Instead, I see Dr. Chang while I am in FL, and then my family doctor follows Dr. Chang's instructions while I am in MI. To see Dr. Chang it is at least a 7 hour round trip for us (from where we are in FL), but he is worth it! Dr. Chang is a shinning example of what a GREAT doctor should be. And he has a WONDERFUL staff as well! What more can you ask for?

Dr. Chang is one of the most caring and compassionate Dr.'s I have come across in my over ten years of chronic illness, he takes time, listens, I wish there were more like him....
