Dr. Richard S Cherlin, MD

I started with Dr. Cherlin around 3+ years ago and I was a crying mess when I first walked through the door. My primary care physician told me to check with an Endocrinologist. Dr. Cherlin's office took some blood and had me set up within days. I have easily adjusted to the Testosterone jel pump daily and my symptoms have not returned. I feel great again. BTW, they have a Phlebotomist in the office so you will not have to go out for more visits and waiting. She is excellent and you will not mind giving her a bit of blood since you won't feel it. Relax, you are in great hands at Dr. Cherlin's office.

I have been with Dr Cherlin for over 8 years. When facing a difficult situation the doctor always comes up with a unique solution. With other docs I feel they are just doing a job and want me out of their office so another cam enter. With doctor Cherlin I know I have an extremely intelligent caring person who only wants the best for his patients.

I have been to a few endocrinologists, and Dr Cherlin is by far the best. I went to SJMG, Pamf to name a few and they were terrible. I never felt uneasy or uncomfortable w/Dr Cherlin. He was always prompt w/my lab results, refilling my meds, seeing me if needed calling me w/results. I really do enjoy having him as a Dr.

I was referred to Dr. Cherlin for type 2 diabetes, and found him to be a competent doctor who will take good care of you. I saw him for several years and participated in various drug studies through his office. However, I will no longer go to Dr. Cherlin because of the extremely poor treatment I have experienced from his front office staff. I have had them be rude to me on the phone, I have had them put me on hold and then hang up on me, and I have also experienced poor treatment in person where I was ignored standing at the counter for 5+ minutes while the staff talked amongst themselves. The last straw was when I was running out of a prescription, and my next appointment was not for a few months. I called for a refill, and was told very curtly that they wouldn't refill my medication until I had seen the doctor, but could not give an earlier appointment than several weeks away! After a very unpleasant conversation with one of the front office staff in that situation, I decided I… would never return to Dr. Cherlin's office. Another con was that he didn't accept my insurance (Blue Cross) and I paid over $300 for each appointment, out of pocket...

appointments are a bit difficult, but considering the amount of patients that love dr. cherlin and the office, i can understand why.
