Dr. Richard A Chmielewski, MD

I was a patient at St. Vincent Hospital with a surgical site staph infection. The infection was discribed as "a scarlet, angry infection of the right hip area." I was transferred from a Ohio health we to Cleveland. Dr. Chmeilewski and his medical team was involved from admission to end. Dr. Chmeilewski was kind, explained every day the waiting for culture report, antibiotics to be infused. He always addressed me not the students. His treatment was spot on. No day went by that I wasn't seen. At discharge, Dr. C. Had me in Infusion Therapy for 4 weeks. He worked with the Infusion clinic in my hometown, I didn't have to go back to Cleveland. Dr. C. Never let me go until he was as sure as he could be that the infection was arrested. Dr. C. Is the best person and physician.

Great follow up! Seems like a genuinely caring doctor. He called me at home to see how I was doing. I think that had to be a first!
