Most amazing doctor I could have asked for!

I will never forget the excellent care and work of Dr Clarfeld. He made time for me to come in to see him on a Saturday and also called me at home to help inspire me. We talked about "hope" during the time of the first Obama campaign and timing of my surgery (2008). I don't think I could have had better care anywhere else. He was kind , available and had great bedside manner. You often--and I have not had such a great surgeon since..most have very limited hours and don't make personal calls. He is the best!

May be a good surgeon but not a nice person. Refused to answer questions.

He is a "Rock Star" surgeon! He is the best of the best. I had a bilateral mastectomy and his work was perfect. My plastic surgeon and my internist were both in awe of his work. He took away my fears by listening and educating me about my cancer. He's a great doctor. Overlake is lucky to have him!

Dr Clarfeld is very knowledgeable of his field. In his own words, he is a perfectionist and that's what you want in a surgeon. Everyone who has seen me has said that his surgery was a work of art. I healed quickly and w/o need for strong pain killers. He is also patient with all kinds of questions and very caring. If only we had enough surgeons like him!Btw, I dont know who and why came up with the above ratings. I have seen doctors who very very curteous and very incompetent and thus dangerous, telling sick people they were fine.

TOP OF HIS GAME ... SECOND BOUT WITH BREAST CANCER. HE IS THE BEST ... SAVED MY BREAST AND EVERYTHING, WHERE OTHERS WANTED TO CUT IT OFF.

He explains information clearly and intelligently, is open to questions and is well informed. I find him caring and easy to deal with.

As horrible as it is to go through a mastectomy for breast cancer, if you have to have it done, Dr. Clarfeld is your guy. He is very particular with his surgery and leaves minimal scarring. If there was any cancer there, he is sure to do the best job removing it. He always takes times to answers questions and explain why a procedure is done a certain way. The only problem I had was with one particular woman that worked at the desk. Most of the time she was very rude and insensitive. Some days she was fine, but on the days she was nasty, it was bad. Very rude on the phone and acted like you were putting her out by having to schedule your appointment. Sometimes I don't think the doctors realize how much it means to a patient to see a smiling face behind the desk.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Clarfeld. He is very kind. He took ample time with me to explain the diagnosis and the procedure. I knew I had the best surgeon that I could have for my situation and that gave me great peace of mind. My surgery was clean and while I am without a breast :) I have to say that I have minimal scaring. If you ever read this Dr. Clarfled - thank you.
