Dr. Richard Paschal Cochran, MD

I saw Dr Cochran on 5 Sept as a referral from my GP concerning a most troubling development which took me by surprise. Naturally, I was very stressed by the potential problems, but Dr Cochran was both professional and personable and took the time to detail the situation and discuss options. He talked me through the medical jargon in language a lay person could understand and laid out a plan for follow up treatment. With an hour his nurse, Tammy, had everything arranged for more tests and another evaluation and even scheduled an appointment with my GP reference related medication. Dr Cochran was sincere and caring. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr Cochran.

This doctor was on-call when my husband had a problem less than one day after being released from the hospital after open-heart surgery. We called early in the morning for guidance during a heart event. Dr. Cochran was unfortunately the one who took the call. He did not explain the parameters of the problem well, which was not foreseen nor addressed in the discharge instructions. He misinterpreted concern as "panic" which it was not and then became abusive, disrespectful and rude. We did go to the ER where we got excellent care and when we told the ER doc specifically what Dr. Cochran had said, she was shocked. I would not, under any circumstances, recommend Dr. Cochran, who is now in Everett, Washington.
