Dr. Richard Wayne Cohen, MD

This guy is the epitome of everything that is wrong in mental health care. If you just need your drugs via the path of least resistance, he's your guy. (You'll still have to wait 30-45 min in the gross waiting room EVERY TIME), but you'll get your fix. I know it's a process, but if you or someone you care about are legitimately suffering and need professional help from someone who cares, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the sake of you and your loved ones, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At our first/only appointment, I apprised him of my current medications. According to Dr. Cohen, one such drug requires periodic liver testing. This was news to me. Upon learning I'd never had a test, he completely lost it on me. LOST IT!!! Full on screaming! His reaction would have been disproportionate, even if I had knowingly omitted the testing. As it were, it was inappropriate and MADE NO SENSE. Madness, I tell you. I reported him to the medical board.

My experience with Dr. Cohen so far has been completely positive. I can tell he actually cares a great deal, and has helped with my anxiety quite a bit.

spends less than 2 min with me once a month. I've asked to come off a drug that is not made for my diagnosis and he keeps putting me off even though i am very uncomfortable on it. I am suffering under his care. I would not recommend him.

This man is a nut case. He needs to be examined himself! His mind always seems to be more on tennis than anything else. Maybe one to many balls hit him in the head.

Wow, this appointment was something I have never experienced before. I went to him for an exam the VA set up. He was 45 minutes late, I was the only one in the office. His office is dingy and cluttered and smells, I good cleaning and painting would help as well as brighter lights, I is dim and dreary. His personal office looks like a tornado went through it. He is very nice but seems scattered, he answers the phone throughout the appointment which is very unprofessional, he has a receptionist that could do that for him. I was glad when the appointment was over and I hope he filled out the evaluation correctly,
