Dr. Richard D Corley

Is this the same doctor Corley that has been practicing since 1978? He did skin grafting on my heal and stitches on my face. Did a awesome job. Thanks

I had to leave a review of Dr. Corley after reading comments and specifically some of the negative ones. Going back to 1987, My daughter was 4 and bitten on the face by a 110 pound German Shepard. I was still in horror next to my daughters hospital bed the day after she was bitten. The friend whose dog bit her recommended Dr Corley. He came in the hospital room and dropped his clipboard and bent over to pick it up and bumped his head on the door. I was thinking here we go! He walked up to the bed and said "I can't do it!" (long pause) "Today" He prescribed something to reverse the swelling (which is why he couldn't do it) "Then said come to my office at 8am" There were over 400 stitches in less than 3 inches of wounds ; One over her left eye about an inch and a half long, one over her right eye about an inch long and one by her nose just above the lip about 3/4 of an inch long. The 3/4 long one that was in the worst place had 105 of the tiniest stitches I have ever seen. This… was no Frankenstein job, the man knows what he's doing. He is direct and to the point and don't say much else, or he didn't 27 years ago. If people think he's rude you need to get over it because this guy is one of the best in the country and probably the best in the area. Only one scar even shows now (over her left eye) but I know it's there. Most people don't even notice. Three cheers for Richard Corley and thank you Dr Corley. Thank you! Thank You! Thank You! My Daughter lives in the area and has 3 awesome boys.

I have first hand information about this doctor. He IS WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE BEST RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGEONS this country has. He was brought into Peoria early from Chicago to save the life of Steven S. a 15 year old burn patient. He was my surgeon twice. Following a bad car accident , Dr. Corley operated on my face which had been torn up. I dare anyone to try to find a scare on my face, period. I wrote about him in my book 'Destiny's Doorway" Dr. Corley is a doctors doctor....The nurses hate him because he doesn't have time to mess with their drama. This man has saved so many lives during the years that he has practiced medicine then anyone can count. He doesn't put up with a lot of B S, when he's working. But his patients love him. Recently he lost his wife who was a real dear to stay behind in Chicago when he came to Peoria OSF . The man is a genius.

I don't know how Dr. Corley is as a physician, but I can tell you from personal experience in the workplace that he is the most rude, inconsiderate and arrogant person/physician I have ever met. I truly would never recommend him based on the way this man treats people who are not his patients. He gives doctors a bad name.
