This is the first time we’ve had a bad experience with CHOP but really left a bad impression. This doctor was the most arrogant dr we have experienced from the moment he walked in the door. Completely dismissed our concerns with really no explanation and didn’t even do a full checkup of our sons feet and ankles. Just completely dismissed our concerns with no explanation or possible course of action. Horrible experience and CHOPs world class reputation is being tarnished by this doctor.

I drove 3 hours with my 9 yr old who has been suffering with ankle pain for almost 5 months. We live in a major metro area and we had seen 5 specialists who could not help her. After we saw the last specialist my daughter said "I have lost all hope that I will ever feel better". That is when I called Dr. Davidson. He and his staff were amazing before and after our visit. Dr Davidson listened to my daughter and reassured us that he knows what is causing my daughter's ankle pain. She will have to have surgery. I only wish we lived closer so Dr. Davidson so he could perform the surgery. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is a wonderful place.

My daughter is a ballet dancer who had a dance related injury. I explained her diagnosis when scheduling her appointment requesting a doctor who has experience with dancers, or at the very least athletes. I called twice to confirm that Dr Davidson was the right doctor before making the two hour trip to see him. After examining my daughter and reviewing her films he declared that her previous diagnosis was incorrect. All she needed to do was stretch. He got excited and offered her a doctor's note saying she shouldn't take the stairs at school and that would solve her problem. After I questioned him further, he said the 2 previous doctors and the radiology reports were wrong (they were accurate and she has since had surgery to correct the problem). That her condition would be highly unlikely in a 10 year old. MY DAUGHTER IS 13! (Her problem usually occurs between 10 and 12) When I reminded him of her actual age he became very agitated (she is 5'2" and in no way looks 10). I then… asked him about his experience with dancers. He became even more agitated and explained how he went to elementary school with the sister of a famous dancer and how his mother was her pediatrician. It was complete lunacy! By this point my daughter was in tears and we couldn't get ow fast enough. Very disturbing experience. Avoid this doctor!

My son had surgery we were thrilled with him at initial consult. Surgery day he was great kept us updated after. Follow ups? Ha, he cancelled one on us but his office never notified us. The morning I checked his appt was still in their computer system as a scheduled appt. . After waiting over an hr they told my husband he wasn't there that day. My husband had taken day off to take him so I told my husband not to leave without some dr seeing him. 2 wks later another appt was scheduled with him....there was a mix up again in schedule had to see another dr. I was furious this time. So I scheduled another appt....I was so persistant in having this dr follow through on my sons surgery I kept trying. At that appt I was furious , this was my 3rd attempt to see him. I waited a long time....when he finally came in he didn't even cross the threshold of the door. He asked my so. To come out walk the hallway. Asked me if he was in PT anymore. I said yes, he said he can stop they are just… milking insurance now. Never walked in, never even took his shoe off to look at scar. I was furious. Next day I told PT that dr wanted him to be released. 2 days later after being released, he refractured it and ended up back in a cast. I tried getting him an appt because the ER dr said it was important to have him seen by his surgeon immediately. A wk out was soonest they could get him in. Needless to say, I had my husband drive to CHOP, pull all his records and we now have a phenomenal DR at DuPont......who actually walks into the room, sits down , talks, looks at his foot etc! He's still in PT months later due to the fact he should not have been released as fast as they did the 1st time. I highly recommend you looking into a different surgeon if you want communication with your child's dr.

simply brushed off all my problems and gave me some stretches. i have been doing these stretches for years but he still insists it is the fix to allll my problems. very upset and dont plan to return

I wish a could post a billboard on I-95 warning parents that if you are searching for a doctor to treat your CLUB FOOT baby, to STEAR CLEAR OF DR. DAVIDSON! I can't tell you one good thing about my experience with him. Wait time in the office is outrageous. Every single appointment, we waited for at least 45 minutes. My son's feet are in worse shape than they were when he was born. He is now classified as atypical/complex, which he was not when he was born. His bedside manner is absolutely disgusting. The last time I saw him, I left his office in tears. I spoke with the #1 club foot doctor in the country (Dr. Dobbs), and he gave me some advice and told me to question Dr. Davidson about QUITE A FEW things, so I did... and Dr. Davidson shut me down about every single one of my concerns. At this age, my son should be done with the "worst" part of treatment, but now.. We're back at square one, and have to start treatment over completely. Please, if you are a pregnant mommamomma/new momma… looking for a doctor to treat your baby's CF, do some research! Join CF Facebook groups, they saved my son from this treatment that goes completely against Ponseti protocol!! I will say, though, his staff is absolutely amazing. Dr. Davidson is a good doctor, but schedule too many patient for the same time. We had waited for almost a 1 hr in the examination room then is not Dr. Davidson who comes over is the practice Dr. another 1/2 hr. then Dr. Davidson show up. look at my son for 10 min. and gone again.

Dr Davidson has poor bedside manner. He does not treat his patients as individual cases he treats them as a number. He doesn't spend enough time with the patient & does not address parental concerns. His method of club foot treatment is poor. He causes the child more medical issues instead of correcting the medical issue properly. If your child has club feet or a club foot get another opinion before allowing Dr Davidson to treat your child.

Davidson seems more concerned with bragging about the countries he has been to and his entourage than my son's leg. My son wears a prosthesis below the knee on his left leg. He had surgery by Dr. Davidson at the age of 12 to improve the straightness of the leg below the knee. We have seen him regularly for checkups.He is now 14. We just saw him in November, Dr. Davidson said it was perfectly straight, and that my son would have surgery in the spring. Recently, my son had a huge blister on his leg below the prosthesis, resulting from his leg growing beyond straight, which means the leg just kept turning in. It turns out he should have had surgery WHEN DAVIDSON DETERMINED THAT IT WAS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT. My son had to have his prosthesis rebuilt to wear until we could get an appointment and surgery. He missed half of his basketball season and will once again miss much of his baseball season, and an awful lot of school. I was shocked at the attitude this man had, and the lack of an apology… for being WRONG. If I had not called and called to get a quick appointment, his leg would have moved in even further and he may have had to have surgery to move it out, which was implied by Davidson. I would choose someone else in a second!!!!!
