Dr. Richard Paul Deasy, MD

This guy should not have a license. Performed surgery which led to even more pain and suffering. Worst mistake I've ever made trusting this guy.

His demeanor is thoroughly obnoxious and rude. Someone should knock his teeth out so he can visit an oral surgeon and learn how to talk to people. Uncaring, unfriendly, unethical and his procedure room was disgusting and dirty with stuff lying all over. It felt like I was in a bad dream. Avoid this loser, you can do better elsewhere.

Dr. Deasy is an extremely proficient dentist. Additionally, he is kind, caring and compassionate and takes whatever time is necessary to explain procedures, answer questions and assuage any and all concerns a patient may have. He is accessible, should concerns arise, after office hours, returning calls in a timely manner. Dr. Deasy's knowledge and intelligence is equally matched by his interest and desire to produce an outcome of the highest quality which I am happy to report is achieved!!! I have recommended and will continue to recommend Dr. Deasy to anyone and everyone who is in need of the services of the most competent Oral Surgeon I have ever received dental treatment from!!! Please..whatever you do..DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!!! I've never in my life been treated so terribly by a doctor. His behavior is abusive, and he seems to want to fight with his patients. I went to him for a consultation to get a tooth extracted. When I arrived they had me down as getting it pulled that day. I made it crystal clear I wanted to be put to sleep. He argued that he doesn't do consultations, and the woman I spoke to worked there for 17 years, and basically accused me of lying! I could not understand why he would treat me like that? He said it said I was thinking of getting put to sleep, and continued to argue with me. The door was wide open and all of his staff heard. He left the room without saying goodbye and I was still in shock. When I walked out a woman looked at me wide eyed. I was so upset and embarrassed. I've been dealing with serious health issues, and to even drive to this appointment was difficult. I voiced my outrage to the girl at the desk saying how I was told… it was for a consultation, and if I planned on getting sedated wouldn't they have had to give me information prior? Another woman came out to apologize saying she heard the whole thing and would speak to him. She started rubbing my back, because it was pretty obvious I was very upset. They encouraged me to make the appointment with him because he's the best, and is gentle. So, I did. After driving home, I decided no way would I trust this guy after the way he treated me. I received a call from the office manager to talk about what had happened. She was extremely nice, and switched me to another doctor at the practice. The next day I received a call from her stating they had a meeting and decided I needed to keep my appointment with Dr. Deasy, and if not I wouldn't be allowed to be seen by anyone else at the practice. I said there's no way I'd want to see him, he should be calling to apologize. Someone called on my behalf, and I received a call stating he'd give me a discount on the anesthesia for what happened. I said that's a nice gesture, but at this point, I'd rather wait and see someone else. I then received another call saying he's allow me to be seen by another doctor there, because now he felt bad. I knew this wasn't true because he actually lied to the person who spoke to him saying he offered the anesthesia for free. I truly feel bad for his staff, they are wonderful, but there is something seriously wrong with him. I've never encountered this type of aggressive, abusive behavior from a doctor. He shouldn't be dealing with people with that disgusting attitude, it's utterly appalling.

An Horrible Experience with the extent of damage of Unimaginable Magnitude. The likes of such Damage being called a "Never Event" that Speaks for itself.Actions that involves not only Mr Deasy, but others in this office as well. His clear Disrespect for others ,willingness to cause undo harm and the attempt to cover can at the minimum be seen as Shocking if not a Criminal Actions concerning records and his statements to others to cover wrong doings His conduct as well the member's of his office, the PA Dept of Dentistry are sure to catch the attention National Coverage.Never before have people seen a case so Extreme. So Heartbreaking is the Abuse Tears will fall from your eyes for this Man as well his Family.Its hard to believe this man is Still Alive .A hardworking farm boy who's only mistake was placing trust in Mr Deasy only to have his life ruined.The Facts Speak Volumes.Heartbreaking, Sad Its hard not to cry.

Dr Deasy is obnoxious and rude. He yelled at my 9 year old son, and I would really like to sue him for his behavior. Avoid this joker all costs!

VERY GOOD OVERALL CARE DIRECT AND GETS DOWN TO WORK ON WHAT HAS TO BE DONE

After waiting over an hour in an antiquated, unkept "operating room" I decided to leave and find another oral surgeon so the doctor and his assistant could finish their "social conversation" in the next room that I could overhear. The doctors assistant and the doctor chased me as I was walking out at the door. My mistake was in not walking out, but I had paid $22 (the fee paid beyond the co pay for my insurance to be seen by this practitioner. In the five minutes Deasy reviewed my file AND spoke with me, he stated that: 1. My regular dentist was incompetent. 2. I required nothing more than NO2 for 9 extractions (even the insurance company said "WOW" to this). 3. Nothing more when I stated that I would speak to both my insurance company who preapproved the procedure (including general IV anesthesia) and the dentist who received the approval to have the procudure of which Deasy "disapproved". When I contacted the insurance company, they were shocked that I was charged any… money beyond a co pay. They opened up a case against this practitioner who arrogantly claims 30 years experience (not the 23 stated above). After speaking with my dentist and determining the extent of the "misinformation" provided by Deasy, I went to a different oral surgeon who is rated a 5 and deserves it, due to excellent pre-operative management, post-operative management and pain management and provided the procedure approved by both my dentist and insurance company. After my insurance company spoke with Deasy, I received a check to reimburse me for the "clerical error" for the overcharge. I learned two things from my experience. 1. If any oral surgeon charges you more than a copay, call the insurance company and report him or her. 2. If an oral surgeon tells you that you require what you feel is insufficient pain management, find an oral surgeon who is not a potential sadist. There is even more to this story, but why go further. I escaped from this, in my opinion, arrogant, inconsiderate sadist before he could enjoy the pain he would inflict. Read all his reviews and decide before it is too late for you.
