Dr. Richard Blake Dennis, MD

I saw him years ago when I was having pain in my hips. After x-rays and MRI were done, he told me the pain was coming from my back, not my hips. A few years after that, Dr Robt Alexander who was seeing me for my back pain, diagnosed my real problem as my hips. He said I needed to see a specialist for hip problems. It was my hips all along. Dr.McCrosson took care of that, now I'm pain free. Dr.Dennis did not have a clue.

Dr. Dennis did spinal surgery on my neck, and it never got better, actually got worse. All I could get out of Dr. Dennis was a pat on the back and told hang in there it's going to get better. After several months of this I asked him when was it going to get better, he had no answer. Then he passed me off to Southeastern Spines pain management, to get hooked on pains meds for rest of my life. Now I am facing a another surgery to correct what Dr. Dennis and Southeastern Spine Institute has screwed up.

I got the feeling that if I wasn't into getting surgery he was not interested in talking. His approach in an arrogant voice was "what could he do for me?" I am thinking..... Did he not look at the files I brought etc. I said I was hoping he could tell me something I could do to help my situation. He immediately referred me to another Dr for injections. All is fine but sure would have been nice to have someone to deal with that cared about his patients and his occupation. May have just been having a bad day.... I don't know but first impression wasn't a good one.

Excellent Dr.!!!! Saved my back. Had surgery in 2013 & have been fantastic ever since. I got my life back!!

I was referred to this doctor from another orthopedic doctor in the same group practice, as I had a back issue and he was a spine specialist. Right out of the gate he was very arrogant and mean, accusing me of being a drug addict I can only speculate because the referring doctor had prescribed me vicodin due to severe pain. Even though I was very taken aback and insulted by his rudeness and complete lack of basic manners, I dropped off my MRI films to see what he thought of them. I received a call at work the following day (he almost made the receptionist cry because of his rudeness) He told me that I had multi-level disc problems and boldly proclaimed "I can help you" Well, after the treatment I had already received, the last thing I would ever do is let this man operate on me. And judging from the prior reviews, I am not the only person who has found him to be lacking.

Dr. Dennis does not spend any time with you, doesn't take the time to properly care for his patients. Prescribed a drug that could have physically hurt me. Completely unsafe and incompetent. Save your life and go to someone else. Same is said for South Eastern Spine Institute. They receive terrible reviews and are very rude, unprofessional and disorganized.
