Dr. Richard Anthony Dentico, MD

Dr. Dentico has treated my chronic low back pain and sciatica with epidurals for some time, and has always helped me get relief. And then when he discovered that I had developed a loss of cartilage in both hips, he referred me to a surgeon who performed hip replacements that completely relieved my pain and helped me (along with PT) achieve full mobility. He always spends the time needed to identify the source of my pain and discomfort and is able to treat me compassionately.

Avoid at all costs! Would put no stars if it was possible. Since their system was hacked ( which they will not acknowledge) you can't reach them by phone and I have waited over 7 weeks to get the correct information sent to my insurance to be able to get a much needed MRI. I have gone to the office multiple times to try and sort out in person and still could not get. Was told by the front desk staff it was sent but my insurance confirmed that it had never been actually sent. Finally I insisted on speaking with Dr. Dentico to straighten it out and they tried to charge me to speak with him. Only when I put up a fuss and asked to speak to the manager did they waive the copay- (though still charged my insurance). Why would there be a charge to straighten out their mess?? Dentico saw me for 5 minutes and never acknowledged the problems or apologized. All they care about is $$ not the patients.

Not an empathetic man and lies about what he can do . A last resort. Attitude changes from Rhinebeck office to looking down his nose at you in Kingston office.????

Dr. Dentico can't even submit scripts on time, not to mention write them for the write amount of time period. How can you trust him to inject or cut you up accurately?

Dr. Dentico was professional, caring, took his time explaining regenerative medicine and what it meant for me. I would recommend him.

He runs far behind and rushes to get out. He is useless and only in it god the money.

I lost 1-1/2 years of my life to this man. He knew the problem from the first visit but instead made a small fortune putting me through procedure after useless procedure. As a result, by the time I found the best surgeon, my condition had degraded to the point that I was crippled - completely unable to walk on my own, and only for very short distances with a rollator. AVOID HIM.

Dr. Dentico has no concern for the pain that his patients feel. He is condescending and cold during appointments. Overall, he is uncaring towards his patients and he is not the type of doctor that should be seen for any type of serious pain or injury.

I saw that someone else wrote dismissive and cold and that is very accurate. He did not address me or my problems. He did not answer any of my questions. I'm not sure if he even spoke at all. I felt like a ghost talking to a wall. I was in the waiting room for 2 hours and in a tremendous amount of pain but looking forward to seeing this great doctor supposedly. He was rude and dismissive he never looked at me he looked down at his clipboard the whole time the appointment was very brief. I went with the intention of having him review MRIs CAT scans and x-rays I already had. Little did I know that he was sending me for more tests. I didn't know until I got to the front desk that he wanted me to have an MRI and an EMG test. He started to walk out of the room without saying anything and I actually put my 90 pound body in front of the door to try to get him to address me which didn't work . Dutchess Orthopedics in general has given me a bad experience 3 times and seeing this doctor was… definitely the Last Straw. I need help desperately but apparently Dr dentico is not interested in helping patients. Terrible bedside manner again I waited 2 hours but I see that's not even an option on this review site because it is absurd I also waited 2 hours at their other office for a 5-minute appointment that was useless as well.

Dr. Dentico is a very kind and respectful doctor of pain management.
