Dr. Richard Drexelius, MD

I was his patient at Grace Family Practice and followed him to Highlands Ranch Medical Associates. For years it was just the regular physicals and the odd cold and he was a great doctor during all those visits. However lately he has proved to be absolutely awesome for me. My long term conditions flared up this year and I've seen him at least once a month and often every couple of weeks. Can't say enough about what a great doctor he is. He's coordinating with 4 specialists that he set me up with, can speak knowledgeably on all their disciplines, always has enough time to get through my complicated updates in each appointment, listens to my opinions and allows me to be part of the conversation on my own health, takes time to explain things to me, and has been a rock throughout these medical challenges I'm facing. He's been there for all the work paperwork and for the panic'd requests I've sent him through the portal at the last minute because something has come up. Even called me… out of hours to give me results and check in on me. Can't recommend him enough.

Dr. Drexelius, as part of Grace Family Practice, is easily the worst primary care physician I’ve ever had. If you are sick, he can can prescribe the right medicine or if you just need an annual checkup he’s fine. But if you have anything chronic or are concerned about general health issues, he can’t be bothered. Your primary care provider is supposed to establish a long-term relationship with you to understand your overall health. No matter how many times I described chronic symptoms that decrease quality of life, he ignored them, never followed up and made it very clear he didn’t care. And recently when I went to the emergency room I listed him as my doctor and received a phone call soon after practically yelling at me because they did not consider me their client any more since they had made changes to their practice. Extremely rude. DO NOT go to him as your primary care provider! ( sorry for the partially duplicate review, the last one got cut off)

Dr. Drexelius has always been very kind, professional, and a true asset to his profession. He was always thorough, non rushed and treated us with respect. He would sometimes call after a sick visit to find out how we were--rarely done in this day and age.

Fantastic Dr's and staff at Grace Family Practice I have been a patient for over 10 years the dedication and attention to detail is unlike any Dr's office I have ever visited. I have had the pleasure of seeing both Dr. Anne Grace and Dr. Drex both are outstanding Dr's I would highly recommend.

I have no idea where I would be w/out this office. The entire office truly cares. They know you by name and are true advocates. I have had Dr. Drex call me late in the evening to give me test results. Talk about dedication to his patients!

Dr Drex and Grace Family Practice are the go-to to be all family practice! I never feel rushed and always know they hear me and truly care. I am not a number but a person. I can call and have an appt almost immediately. I can drive to his office, see him and make it back to my office within an hour. Thank you Dr Drex!

I'm about retirement age and during my life I've had many different primary care physicians in both private practice and HMOs etc. Dr. Drex is hands down the finest, most caring, thorough and competent doctor I've EVER had in my life. He listens, he asks relevant questions, he provides prompt, accurate care and follows up to ensure the treatment has been effective.

I have seen this doctor for years and called the office to schedule an appointment for complete physical. I had not seen them for over a year and it is due. I made an apptmt with the 1st lady and everything seemed fine. I get a call back and was told they can't see me because they cut down on staff. What kind of office would tell an existing patient that. Not seeing people they have not seen in awhile. If you go with this doctor just know that he may not be your doctor next time you need to see someone.
