Dr. Richard Alan Edgin, MD

Would not even give him 1 star! Will never go back. He was very rude and unfriendly and acted like he was so much above me and talked down to me, like I was some little, stupid school kid. I could have cried, had not been talked to like that by any doctor before, not even any of my teachers as a child. He raised his voice, actually yelled as soon as I got 2 words in. Wanted to know why I was not taking the medication for nausea and when I stated my concerns about it, he got very angry, nasty and mean immediately and told me, it was not so, disregarding the warnings about the bad side effects. He would not let me talk and explain much about it, just yelled at me immediately and cut me off and accused me of arguing with him, when I just tried to answer his question, why I was not taking it. He basically was attacking me, but turned it all around, like I was the bad one, when I kept my mouth shut immediately and did not dare to ask any other questions after that. The… description on the meds told me about the bad, dangerous side effects and so did the Internet. Never went back to him. If you can't talk to a doctor without him losing it, no sense in seeing him. AWFUL! Will never recommend him to anyone. He is the most rude, arrogant, and self-centered doctor I have ever seen! He should not be a doctor, if he can't talk in a decent manner to the patients and listen to their point of view.

He was very professional as always, I was very sorry to hear he would no longer be at Mount Carmel East. I will stay with him as long as possible. Thanks to him I am alive. I could give the credit to the surgeon but it had to be found before it could be removed.

Took forever to get an appointment. Dr was hurried and explained little. His staff failed to get preapproval for procedures. I had to call numerous times to get them to contact my insurance company. I was never called after my second procedure for follow up. Needless to say, I have found a new provider.

Have been a patient since 1993. Excellent physician!

He is a very caring doc! He himself even calls you with results sometimes.
