Dr. Richard Ellenbogen , MD

PLEASE READ: Do not let what happened to my daughter happen to you. Save your body, money, and mind. My daughter came in for a breast augmentation with Dr. Ellenbogen. When we met with Dr. Ellenbogen, he was very charismatic and explained how he could do the breast augmentation no problem. He proceeded to tell us how he did all the breast augmentations for Playboy and he was there go to guy. Given his years of experience and his confidence, we decided to go with Dr. Ellenbogen and this were everything went wrong… After the augmentation, my daughter’s left breast started healing in a deformed way. We immediately voiced our concerns to Dr. Ellenbogen. He kept saying not to worry about it. So we scheduled a revision and post-surgery, Dr. Ellenbogen admitted he found a suture that developed scar tissue. When asked how that happened, he said that he didn’t know and maybe some talcum powder could have gotten on it in the operating room, which was odd. Aren’t doctors supposed to know and… monitor these things…. Well guess what, the revision didn’t fix it. So after a few months, we went back to Dr. Ellenbogen to address this issue. We confronted him about the suture and about his negligence. We did not want Dr. Ellenbogen to do another revision. Instead, all we wanted was for him to refund us the cost of a revision with another doctor. We felt that this was THE LEAST he could do given how he treated us and all the things he disclosed to us. And he responded back by calling us liars and kicking us out of his office. It wasn’t until we sought legal counsel that Dr. Ellenbogen even answered our calls to which he denied all the things he said and said we waited too long. It is sad that I have to talk about my daughter’s story publically but I can no longer stand this man and his treatment of his patients. Nor would I have a good conscious knowing this man may be doing this to other people. My daughter has had to deal with a deformed breast for years. It has hurt her in relationship and she is embarrassed by it. THAT IS HEARTBREAKING and it all because of this AWFUL PERSON and his AWFUL PRACTICE. He clearly only cares about money. Now, we have to work on saving up our money to cover the cost of this revision because this person will not take any responsibility for it. It is so sad. Dr. Ellenbogen is the true definition of a CON ARTIST. Please save your time, money and body. Don’t let what happened to us, happen to you. Consider yourself warned.

Dr Richard Ellenbogen is truly an artist. He is one of the best at his craft and his professionalism is impeccable. He listen to my requests and helped me with my concerns to provide piece of mind prior to having surgery. The office is very calming and the staff is very helpful and accommodating. I have gained so much confidence after having my surgery. I will be telling all my friends and family about this incredible doctor.

Trust me when I tell you that Dr. Richard Ellenbogen is a rockstar! No wait, I’ll take it one step further – Dr. Ellenbogen is the MICK JAGGER of plastic surgery/cosmetic procedures! His experience, performance, and dedication to his art is unparalleled in this city, or any city for that matter, and just like it’s a no brainer to understand why fans line up to see rock and roll’s greatest front man strut his stuff, it’s obvious why patients around the world book Dr. E to improve and enhance their appearance. I wouldn’t allow just anyone to touch my face, and certainly not someone who hadn’t performed hundreds – maybe thousands - of surgical procedures as Dr. Ellenbogen has – would you? The dermabrasion he recently performed on me was quick, easy, and most importantly successful in terms of blasting away my pesky upper lip wrinkles (aka smoker’s lines) – exactly the results I was looking for. Yes, there is some downtime involved, and one does have to be careful going forward when… it comes to sun exposure…but is it worth it? Absolutely – but only if you go to the very best. Otherwise, why bother?

Have you ever just walked into a doctor's office and felt so welcomed and well taken care of that you knew you were in for a great experience? Neither have I - until my appointment with Dr. Richard Ellenbogen. His lovely, attentive staff was just the precursor of great things to come during my consultation and botox appointment, and Dr. E himself proved to be both incredibly knowledgable and honest - a true artist. He went out of his way to show me that he was using only the freshest, un-diluted and proper amount of botox, and then clarified the procedure further by describing and naming the muscles in my face he planned to inject and explaining why as he did so. The fact that a doctor of his stature - a world renowned plastic surgeon - performed the injections himself (as opposed to the fledgling estheticians one encounters at many med-spas and other doctors' offices) was quite impressive. I simply could not have asked for a better botox experience or results. The complimentary… consultation that followed was really illuminating as well. Dr. Ellenbogen took photos of my face from all angles and then displayed his artistry and expertise by showing me a number of possible improvements and techniques to make me look more youthful and vibrant. There was no hard sell whatsoever, nor did the doctor in any way make me feel inadequate or imperfect. Although I am not currently considering plastic surgery, I would not hesitate to have Dr. Ellenbogen perform a facelift or other surgical procedure when and if the time comes. I am definitely considering another suggestion he made regarding a non-surgical procedure, and I look forward to future appointments with this wonderful doctor.

I had a great experience at Dr. Ellenbogen office. He was very attentive and nice. I enjoyed the consultation process and I am very happy with the results of my rhino.

I came to Ellenbogen when I was 33. I had tons of money and let him do what ever he thought he could do to make me prettier. You judge for yourself. He destroyed my looks and never gave me any money back. I am still so sad that I let this man get away with this... He injected fat into my cheeks without my permission. He never told me that fat in my face would increase by ten folds if I got pregnant and never go away once I lost the weight. He never told me that the forhead lift (that I did not need at 33), would make me bald in the front of my face. He disfigured my nose which was the least of my problems. I have never been able to get my smile back and have bumps, uneven bulges, through out my cheeks.

He computerizes your result on the computer. He shows you other things about your face which you may not be aware of. It may offend some insecure patients but his recomendations are right on. He canas easily paint your portrait as operate on your face. His breast surgery is also artistic . A great choice

He computerized my mothers face and 5 weeks later she looked exactly like what he predicted . Absolutely amazing result. We are both very grateful to him.
