He is an 82 year old genius and he will have to be dragged away from healing the sick kicking and fighting. I've gotten to know Dr. Farmer well over the years. From the first appointment where he stayed in his office with me after hours on a Friday night, him chatting so brilliantly candid, until he knew I was safe. I've spent many hours with him over the years, casual drop in's because he wanted to know I was ok. Calls from his cell to check in. And he would answer any time of day or night. I remember calling him on Christmas day, and he stepped away from his family to take my call. I can't even tell my child I am going to see him, I have a code name, because he wants to tag along. Dr. Farmer's warmth is genuine and contagious. Dr. Farmer operates on a higher level than anyone I've met. He doesn't practice medicine or therapy in a, "if you're going to do it, donor at home." He is a professional and he always out me and my family first. He is unconventional im treatment and I am a thriving product of his work. I am a young, attractive female and never received anything other than professional care and respect. I don't have a score to settle, drug charges to face, etc. I know the truth as each patient does and my truth is I would be in a dark place, if not dead, had I not walked into Dr. Farmer's office on that dark fateful night. He is always in my heart and I am sickened by any push back he will endure for helping others, but the truth of it all- he doesn't care what you believe.

Words are not adequate enough to describe the professionalism and level of care that Dr farmer provides. He saved my life and restored my trust in doctors after saving me from my previous horribly abusive doctors and he reduced my medications that other doctors had me on! He was blown away by what other drs had prescribed me, and brought me down the correct way. Most suboxone drs that are writing scripts charge 250$, watch their watches for 15 minutes, and send you out the door with no assessment or therapy! Pill mills that run cash clinics and get you hooked on junk to keep you coming back just for an RX and $. I've reported many of my past doctors and they've lost their licenses or went to prison! I'm an advocate against pill pushing doctors! It took dr farmer explaining to me how wrong my previous dr's actions were, and helping me to fix the problem. Again, he has restored my faith in what a true psychiatrist should be like, and he is nothing short of caring and… professional. I've had 7 suboxone drs total, with farmer being my 7th, and I pray my final, bc he is different from all the rest! He spends an hour and actually cares about me, not my money! He is NOT a pill pusher, many patients avoid him for this very reason. He is legit! I am required to give a urine drug screen every time, but I appreciate them, as I've never relapsed since 2007, and each one shows that I've overcome addiction to opioids, that were all prescribed. He is by far the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever seen. And He has told me NO on multiple rx requests. Percocet for a dental/ jaw surgery, and flexeril for a broken back, both being examples. He told me they could cause addiction and heartache. His assistant Katie is a godsend as well. She takes her job seriously and sincerely and they both have impacted my life eternally, and I am so thankful! Again, words are not adequate to describe what the wonderful moral and ethical legacy of this doctor, thank you dr farmer for saving me from the bad doctors and saving my life and being what a dr should be, professional on all levels. Dr. Farmer and his amazing assistant Katie have truly saved me in so many ways to count and I would've been in trouble mentally, physically and emotionally if Dr. Farmer wouldn't have saved me from the worst doctor ever and took me in because he knew I needed help and he has such a huge heart and compassion for his patients that I knew I was going to be okay with him as my psychiatrist! The world needs more doctors just like him so people can feel they are truly cared for and cared about when they go to get help from the doctors that should care as much as he does for all his patients and everyone that he comes in contact with. He's just an amazing doctor, amazing man and has the biggest heart I've ever seen from a doctor or anyone for that matter! Thank you Dr. Farmer and Katie! ??

Dr. Farmer is an incredible doctor. He treats his patients with the utmost humanity. He saved my life and I say with no hesitation that he is excellent at his profession. In the past, psychiatrists have pushed medications on me without actually listening to me. Dr. Farmer takes so much time to listen and talk through what I am going through. I owe him my life and I am so grateful for his compassion and dedication to excellence.

Having been to my share of pill pushing Psychiatrists who sit behind a big desk with a wall full of books behind them, they are intimidating not therapeutic. Dr Farmer sits you down in a living room setting and talks to you. He feels like family, I can not say enough kind words about this man! His resume is ridiculous !

Suboxion savef my life. It took years to get off of it. I can finally say I feel good about myself and good about my life. On Suboxone I was able to work get my daughter back and married a wonderful man. Without Dr, farmer and Katie I don’t know what I would’ve done. I love y’all very much. katie you do you were such an amazing woman Dr. Farmer you are an amazing doctor. So informed and so readily to educate others including myself on the benefits of Suboxone.

He is the best in Memphis. He was a brain surgeon for 20 years and then decided he wanted to actually interact with patients. He knows everything about the brain and how it affects certain disorders. This is the doctor for you!
