Shore rehab is run by a bunch of outdated dinosaur nurses and one doctor (Fernicola) who thinks that he should be paid to work less than 15 hours per week. What the nurses tell you differs from what their supervisors tell you and then the case manager, Cathy, appears to be a drug addict on another planet. Rude, inconsistent treatment. They told me my father was not meeting medicare guidelines for Physical Therapy just days after he suffered a massive stroke and his blood pressure actually prevented him from attending P.T. They shipped him off to an uncaring nursing home. The good news is that we got him into Kessler and now Dad is back in his own home doing great. Had we listened to the blithering idiots at Shore Rehab and we would have been burying him. It really does matter where you do rehab. FORGET SHORE. Forget Fernicola. If you care about your family.
