Dr. Richard Allen Fuhler, MD

Fuhler provides very adequate care to his patients. He cares about how the medication effects them and has an open conversation with his patients. His staff is very friendly I highly recommend him! It's easy to in touch with office as well! I've seen negative reviews, I would not consider most of them reliable...

I have been seeing Dr. Fuhler for 3 or 4 years now, and I have never had a bad experience with him or his staff. In fact, Dr. Fuhler and his staff have always been kind and courteous to me, going as far as to frequently reschedule appointments due to my ever changing work schedule. Dr. Fuhler is also very knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer every question I have regarding my treatment or medication. As a bonus, if you book your appointment for a Friday, you'll probably get to meet a couple of big, lazy, adorable doggos.

Fuhler is the rudest doctor I’ve ever met. He treats all his patients like drug addicts and talks down to you. I highly recommend not seeing this guy for anything. Not to mention he keeps his massive smelly dog in his office. I wish I had read his reviews prior to seeing him.

Please avoid this quack and terrible doctor. Focus must have been really desperate to put him in their office as he has been terrible from day one. I stuck with him in hopes to just keep with it but it has been a nightmare. He doesn’t listen and knows nothing about the drugs his prescribed or his patients. He is only interested in testing and money and ripping off patients. Don’t even call go elsewhere or anywhere he can’t keep the same same staff for more than a month and his only tools are a scale and arm cuff that look like he got them from a yard sale. Run away from this whack job.

I am writing to voice my concerns about Dr. Richard Fuhler and the care and concerns for all of his patients.For about 6 months Dr.Fuhler has made all of my visits very uncomfortable by accusing me of jeopardizing his practice with the DEA. I travel for work and I have missed some appointments. I have explained this to him several times and asked that my file be documented to reflect I travel. I had an appointment on today that I dreaded going in for and he informs me that he will no longer be my Dr because I am again jeopardizing his standing with with the DEA. I left the office with that explanation but it bothered me greatly. I called the DEA to request additional information on why the Dr would make these accusations about a patient. The Investigator with the DEA had no idea why the Dr would say that because they don’t monitor Dr’s in that way. He also explained that I was possibly being treated as a drug seeker. I am making this post because I can not be the only that Dr.Fuhler… is doing this too. I do take it personally that a Dr can label you with lies and act accordingly as if they did research. Dr. Fuhler is a poor Physician and I count it a blessing that he will no longer be my caretaker.

Was seen by Dr Fuhler at the VA and being a physician myself found him to be very courteous and knowledgeable. He correctly helped diagnose my prostate cancer and probably saved my life.

Could NEVER recommend him. Whomever wrote the other review here. Sounds like someone who works in his office. THis dr is the worst. Refuses to listen to concerns, Rude as all get out, and just plain stupid with anythign remotely related to common courtesy or decency. TRULY DO NOT SEE HIM!!! His last professional position, they wanted him GONE, and that was at VA in Mobile.

Dr. Fuhler has diagnosed and treated me for several different medical issues. You can tell that he really is thinking about the information you've given him, and he's carefully weighing the options. He is very clear and direct about what he recommends - I trust him very much.
