Dr. Richard Gallagher

Dr. Gallagher is a graduate of Purdue University and Palmer College of Chiropractic (Cum Laude). Licensed in NC and SC, Dr. Gallagher is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and a Member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. As a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician, Dr. Gallagher's experience has taught him that the same technique is not appropriate for everyone. You will receive specialized attention and treatment that is most appropriate for you. Post graduate studies in orthopedics, neurology, rehabilitation, x-ray evaluation, pain relief, treatment of fibromyalgia, scoliosis, whiplash, pediatrics, nutrition and weight loss. An avid tennis player, Dr. Gallagher was not always a chiropractor. Working in Dallas, TX as a systems analyst for a large telecommunications firm, he hurt his back while playing tennis. He saw his PCP and was prescribed meds which of course gave him relief. But after some time the meds wore off and the pain was back. Unable …to play tennis he decided to seek out a chiropractor. Being a very analytical person, the chiropractic model of care made sense and soon he was back on the court. That experience had such a profound effect that a few years later he moved to Davenport, Iowa to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic (The Fountainhead of Chiropractic). Long story short, Dr. Gallagher now has been earning the trust of thousands of patients in the South Charlotte area since 1997. He and his wife, Tammy, are still very active playing USTA tennis, Dr. Gallagher utilizes a 'team' approach to care utilizing an active patient care program that is taylored to the specific needs of the patient. Dr. Gallagher states 'The patients that take responsibility for their health have the best outcomes'.
