Richard Geisman, MD

Been seeing him for 8 months, had not help me with my issues at all. Hasn’t really offered an opinion on inflammation in my chest. Spends about 5 minutes with me each visit. Would not recommend him at all.

Bad bedside manner

Dr. Geisman was the first Gastro i saw. At 18, i had a lot of pain in my stomach and going to the bathroom a lot. I explained to him that I thought I had Crohn's. He told me that, that wasn't what I had and started running tests. After about 5 different tests including a colonoscopy and and endoscopy he came back and said "You have Crohn's Disease, just as I expected." My mom and I were both shocked that he all of a sudden acted as if he didn't deny it before. After getting over that, i came to him with some symptoms that i was worried about. He told me they weren't from Crohn's or that my symptoms weren't bad enough to mean anything. He constantly made me feel dumb. As soon as I could I found a new doctor.

Very kind Doctor. After seeing several doctors about my concerns, he was the first who I felt really listened to me and made it a priority to find what the problem was and to fix it. Great bedside manner, listens and understands his patients.

I met Dr. Geisman many years ago - he was young, excited about his job and kind. I do not know what changed but over the last few years I have lost complete confidence in him. He has made more than one serious mistake with my health. His staff has become less caring. Strangely, if he had remain kind I would have followed his advise and I would have died. I hope he realizes the impact he has on people and their families.

Dr. Geisman is an excellent doctor. He is kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I highly recommend him!
