Dr. Richard Eliot Gliklich, MD

Do not under any circumstances go to this doctor for a rhino septoplasty. I did and ended up with a collapsed nose. Dr. Gliklich said it was an optical illusion. I have some very graphic pictures. After seeking other consults I had a revision. I now need another. Dr. Gliklich not only did a completely botched job, he didn't own up to it. Because of him, my breathing is horrible, I have a short "parrot nose" where before it was aquiline. I've spent over $30,000 and now another $20,000 to correct. Please don't go to him and go through what I have.

I had a rhinoplasty done by Dr Gliklich when he first started in the business. 1989. My future ex husband had smashed my face in while I was sleeping. Collapsed my left nasal passage, broke my cheek bone, eye socket....I was a mess. My surgery was "self pay" and I didn't have a lot to spend. Dr Gliklich did a beautiful first class job that til this day no one can ever tell I had any work done. I had interviewed 3 surgeons and chose him for his presentation of procedures, explanation and expectations, he guided me to what was the most natural and best fit for my face. Thanks, seeing your smiling face here was reassuring. I was hoping you had expanded to other types of plastic surgery as my body needs a lift.... but why change when you are so great at what you do best?... Faces.

Doctor is ok. I could not make a follow up appointment after surgery and hematoma complication, which Dr. Gliklich addressed satisfactorily. His very disinterested staff at the front desk, gave me a new appointment 6 weeks later....I asked if this would be ok with the doctor and got no reply. Beautiful office, but the reception and nursing staff are among the worst I have ever experienced . Missy in particular is rude, patronizing and judgemental. So out of place in the reception position that I assumed she must be a relative.

He was a very good doctor, responsible, and well trained and he diagnosed me quickly and accurately. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with him.

I'm a well informed consumer of plastic surgery, "I do my homework" , i.e. it's taken me two years of consults with Boston area physicians to decide upon Dr. Gliklich for my rhinoplasty and "mini face lift"! I wish I'd seen Dr. Gliklich first.Dr. Gliklich has a calm, caring, understated approach. He listens to your concerns and thoughtfully addresses each one. No rush. He's not aggressive, but moderate in his approach to plastic surgery ( and no, I didn't need a full face & brow lift at 40!). His practice is restricted to facial plastic surgery. He isn't a "jack of all trades" doing liposuction, breast augmentation, etc. but is an expert at what he does.

I don't know if he had missed several night's sleep, or was taking some prescribed medication, but he appeared to be either distracted or disinterested.
