Dr. Richard Allen Gobao, MD

He was very understanding in his own way. I really liked him as my Dr till I moved out if state.

Dr. Gobao is everything a doctor should be. He is the way doctors used to be (down to earth, attentive to the patient's needs and very patient). He is extremely good at diagnosing a condition. I've recommended him to many people. He is a rarity today in the medical profession,

I have been a patient of Dr. Gobao's since 2010. I have never in my 37 years come across a more caring, competent and understanding doctor. Just one example of Dr. Gobao's compassion and dedication to his patients, I was hospitalized for sepsis a few years back. I was inpatient at St. Clair Hospital, which by the way is ranked #1 in my book, anyway it was later in the evening I would say about 7:30. I was in my room when there was a knock at the door. I wasn't expecting guests, they'd all been there for the day and gone home so I assumed it was a nurse. Well wouldn't you know when that door opened it was Dr. Gobao himself. I know up until this point the story is not extraordinary but what you don't know is that at the same time I was in the hospital Dr. Gobao was having very deep personal issues with his family. I found it remarkable that he took time away from his family to come and check to see that I was okay. He could've very easily have just called the nurses station for my… status but no, he came to my room to see me personally. I will never forget that for as long as I live. He is what a doctor should be! There are plenty of other things I could share with you about the relationship between patient and doctor that would make you want to see him even if you weren't sick but I'll just leave you with this.... if you are looking for a doctor that is not only competent but one that will treat you with respect, understanding and compassion you needent look any further than Dr. Richard Gobao.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gobao since he began private practice in Pittsburgh. I completely trust his expertise, his diagnosis and his approach to medicine. He never gives the impression that he's too busy to answer questions or discuss concerns. On a few occasions when I've been ill and was willing to wait until the next day, they always found a way for me to be seen that day. I never overdue my sick visits, but it's nice to know that your doctor cares.
