Dr. Richard Shawn Gordon, MD

Dr. Gordon is an excellent surgeon. He performed an emergency surgery on me in May, 2020. I was afraid and nervous, but he assured me that he would take very good care of me. He visited me in the hospital after the surgery. He was very kind and genuinely concerned about my recovery. I saw him once again for a follow up visit and once again he was extraordinarily happy to see that I was healing well. He deserves my 5-star rating!!!

Dr. Gordon is great but his staff does not return phone calls as promised and will change their story as to why they did not call back and why a report is not in. I've been asking about my pathology results for 2.5 weeks! I keep getting the run around, then when I spoke with his nurse (I was calm and low-key) she told me to calm down! (I guess she was trying to make it appear that I was yelling on the phone at her for the other staff to hear her), that is so awful of them.

Rude office staff refused to make an appointment due to a cancellation years ago. Sent Complaint to Corporate

He was very thoughtful and thorough , he explained my situation and the possible outcomes. His follow ups were direct and hands on . He was not cocky like most doctors and I felt comfortable in his ability to do the job right, having meeting him for the first time. I would recommend him to any of my family members and all of my friends. My coworker was also a patient of his and like me he was quite pleased with his surgical precision and abilities. I will be scheduling a colonoscopy with him soon.

Great doctor but he has a horrible staff. No one in that office knows what's going on and gives very misleading and different information.

Spoke with the office manager who was extremely rude and uncaring. Gives Dr. Gordon a bad reputation. Will not deal with this office again because patients deal mainly with support staff 90% of the time and get to see the doctor 10% of the time.

I was told by my pcp doctor that I had only one year of quality life left also I was confined to a wheel chair because of my weight my legs could not support me. So I contacted Dr. Gordon and we met. He told me that he could help me out. So on Jan 8 2019 I got operated on and he did a sleeve operation and as of today I feel and LOOK great all thanks to Dr Gordon I did weigh over 425 pounds and now only almost 3 months into it I have almost lost 100 pounds including my pre diet before the operation If you doubt please give Dr. Gordon a chance. Get your life back.

I recently had Dr. Gordon perform my surgery at Countryside Hospital and want to thank him for his excellent work and follow up. It was easier than I thought it would be to recover and I had absolutely NO issues while in the hospital. I would recommend him for the type of surgery I had…Partial Colectomy and Colon Resection.

Dr. Gordon is the best surgeon I know. This was my 4th hernia surgery. The VA butchered me up and left me worse off. Dr Gordon did robotic hernia repair on me and fixed me rightly. It’s been almost a month and I’m almost healed. Dr Gordon “thank you “ In my opinion the best surgeon I’ve ever known. If you want the best go see Dr. Gordon.
