Dr. Richard Yard Harris, MD

It is extremely difficult to get Melissa, the front office staff, to send outside referrals for specialists. I have been trying to get a referral sent for almost 2 weeks and still haven't gotten it accomplished. She tells me she is going to do it but that she is just so busy. I have continually called her and the referral office to see if it was sent. Although I have no real complaint with Dr Harris, I can't deal with his incompetent office staff. I will be looking to change doctors so I can get my health needs met.

If you call this doctor in an emergency he will not care. He will not listen. He will not help. He will hang up the phone on you and leave you in the dark.........

As a 70-yr old male, my experience with Dr. Harris is A-1. He is a good listener, thoughtful and considerate of my specific needs. He is not a rush in, rush out doctor. If you spend a little extra time waiting for your visit, it's because he is taking the needed time with the patient in front of you. Highly intelligent and trustworthy.

Always a 30-minute wait in an empty office. Don't speak up or GRACE will threaten to have you arrested now.

Dr. Harris USED to have a great practice but in the past 2 years they have gone through 5 employees and the current staff they have now is awful! They get really nasty about co-pays even with their long term patients and their receptionist is the worst. It's like a Cuban medical center now! Just get them in and out as fast as they can. The only one who seems to still care is Dr. Harris himself. Things better change for the better or he will loose his practice.

I am a 59 year old male who has been blessed most of my professional career with top notch medical care and doctors. Now living in the mountains, I can say with certainty that Richard Harris is one smart incredible doctor. I would expect to find a guy like him at the Mayo Clinic versus Woodland Park. Besides very high intelligence, he really cares and takes the time. Can't go wrong with this doctor.
