Dr. Richard Hellman, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Hellman a few years now but have decided to move on. He's consistently late for appointments, doesn't utilize the portal in a timely manner for lab results (takes an average of a month to get a response) and doesn't take the time to review said lab results. I have been complaining about weight gain, exhaustion, light headedness, etc. for nearly a year. Did a fasting test...I was told I was fine. Went back in for a routine visit....I was told I'm insulin resistant among numerous other things. Patient focus is lacking.

He is very kind. Makes me laugh. Asks about my life. and delivers terrifying news and makes it seem like he''s telling you that you have a paper cut. He encourages second opinions and never gives up. His schedule is full and he had no openings to see me, but since he felt I needed immediate fixing.. he squeezed me in between other patients when he normally would take a break. I recommend him whole heartedly.

This doctor is one of those people who has book knowledge.. and that's it. Poor beside manner, accurate diagnosis, but then again this doctor can do no wrong. Staff is unprofessional and unorganized. I am going to see another doctor.
