Dr. Richard Aaron Hodin, MD

I was 22 years old when I first met Dr. Hodin and it was time for my colon to be removed and he was awesome in telling me what to expect and my GI doctors raved at the work he did. I then developed Chron's disease which required another surgery and a reversal of my J Pouch. I hated it and though it was permanent reversal but Dr Hodin pulled off a miracle and now 5 years later still successful. He is smart, easy to talk to, honest and so good with dealing with your family at the hospital. Puts everyone at ease. I tell people till this day that I would not be where I am today without him. I am now 40 and President of 2 companies and a big reason is got me back to full strength and out of the depression I was in from the reversal.

AMAZING! Dr. Hodin saved my life. I was in the hospital for 2.5 weeks fighting for my colon, during the first week I met with Dr. Hodin to very briefly discuss surgery. From the moment he walked into my room, he was kind, down to earth, and answered all the questions I had. I was very very ill going into surgery and had a panic attack outside the operating room. Dr. Hodin was right there and told me to "hang in there" and it would be alright. I just had my second surgery and again he was fantastic. He returns my calls, emails me back ON THE WEEKEND within MINUTES. I can't say enough about how caring and down to earth he is, rare when it comes to surgeons! I am so grateful my GI referred Dr. Hodin to my case. He will be performing my third and final surgery in a few months. I would highly recommend Dr. Hodin!!! He is THE BEST!

I have had a few bowel resections. Dr. Hodin has performed them and other surguries connected to my Crohns disease. I have been sick many years and required many different types of digestive operations. I don't like anyone but Dr. Richard Hodin performing them. He's the best.

I have had 2 small bowel resections by Dr Hodin all with excellent results. He will do my next small bowel surgery.

Dr. Hodin performed a very successful thyroidectomy for my wife. We were both very impressed with his knowledge, skill and professionalism. In addition he has a wonderful sense of humor, very strong interpersonal skills and a genuine caring for his patient. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had Dr. Hodin perform this surgery.

Dr. Hodin is a fabulous doctor and a caring person. I would and have trusted him with my life. There is no more knowledgable or compassionate surgeon than Dr. Hodin.

I was referred to Dr. Hodin for a bilateral adrenalectomy and he was absolutely wonderful! He is a very gifted surgeon, I had very small incisions and relatively little pain and swelling . They took great care of me at MGH and they are all super nice.
