Dr. Richard N. Hubbell, MD

Took son at pediatricians request to have tongue tie diagnosed. Dr. Hubbell was extremely rude the whole time, making uncalled for and unprofessional remarks. He said he didn't believe in posterior tongue ties but if we wanted to take him to Albany to have them cut his "pretend" tongue tie, then go ahead. We said our 10-month old was unable to stick his tongue out and he said "well, maybe he just doesn't want to!" We said he's having trouble forming words - still can't say "dada" but says about 20 other words - and he said he shouldn't be saying any words. Told him he has had choking issues all along and he said it's not related to tongue tie. The rude remarks and lack of concern just kept coming. Left in tears from the treatment we received there today! We will definitely be getting a 2nd opinion.

Weird guy did nothing but tell me I’m fine and that we need a rescheduled appointment so he can get another fat check

I have seen Dr Hubbell several times over the past five years, usually twice a year to clean a recurring wax blockage in one of my ears. He handle the situation flawlessly, with a nice sense of humor. I would highly recommend Dr. Hubbell!

We saw him for a grandchild. He was a very sarcastic, arrogant, unfeeling individual with a total lack of compassion. He couldn't run out of the room fast enough despite our many questions. If I could have given him less than one star for Overall, Bedside Manner, Time Spent, and Follow-up; I would have. It is unfortunate that he is the only pediatric ENT at Fletcher Allen -- why they don't do something about him is incomprehensible. This was the first time we had ever had such horrible treatment by a medical "professional." GO ELSEWHERE; your child deserves it. We did and have been very pleased.

Excellent doctor. My son went through surgery with him and I couldnt have been more pleased with the whole experience.

Waited 35 minutes for him to take 5 minutes to look in my child's mouth and nose and then pass us on to the next dr. He didn't listen to any symptoms, absolutely horrible bedside manner. Unfortunately, he is the only pediatric ENT in the area.

I just wanted to say thank you. My daughter had tubes put in on Friday, and already I have noticed an improvement. Again thankyou so much!!

I am a senior woman. I was referred to Dr. H by my primary care Dr. and was assured that though he specializes in pediatric care he also saw adults. Dr H took NO time to listen to the history of my ear problems and dismissed most all or my questions with a literal flip of his hand. Then he scheduled me for an MRI with little explanation as to why this was necessary. His office did not call back with the results of the MRI. I am looking for a new ENT Dr.
