Dr. Hudes has special expertise in brachytherapy for prostate, breast and gynecologic malignancies. Additionally, his clinical interests include image-guided radiation therapy with the TomoTherapy system as well as participation of clinical trials for a variety of cancer types. Dr. Hudes has authored a chapter on prostate tomotherapy for a medical textbook and co-authored several research papers. He is a reviewer of scientific manuscripts and participates with national professional societies in health care policy analysis. Locally in the state of Maryland Dr. Hudes volunteers on committees for the Board of Physicans and the Maryland Department of Environment. Dr. Hudes has also been the program director of the Annual Mid Atlantic Oncology Update since 2001. In 2009 Dr. Hudes was named one of "Baltimore's Top Doctors" by Baltimore Magazine.
