Dr. Richard Iorio, MD

I started to see Dr. Iorio after suffering pneumonia and having a lung collapse. I went to see him because my primary physician was away. He not only found that my left lung had stopped working, he did so looking at the same x rays a pulmonary team that had been treating me for 6 months had already taken. Needless to say that was nearly 20 years ago and have never seen another Dr. since. He's a little slower but a whole lot better than any in and out Dr you will come across.This is the kind of Dr. you see when your hospitalised and wake up at 4am to notice your Dr. quietly checking in on you.

Yes, there is usually a 15 minute wait past your appointment time BUt once in the exam room, Dr. Iorio will spend 20 30 minutes with you to perform an exam and discuss health issues. He is very thorough in reviewing notes from past visits and integrates that knowledge into assessing current health concerns. He listens to what I have to say with no distractions and no multitasking. It's obvious Dr. Iorio cares about each patient he sees. He is technically a good doctor. with accurate diagnoses and treatments. His staff is courteous, pleasant, and professional.

It's unfortunate that this doctor has been sitting on CDs which contain my x-rays and ct-scans, for two months. He does not return my calls, letters or faxes. I have attempted to have my CDs returned to me, since they are my property, to no avail. Not sure what to do at this point, but if you make an appointment, be prepared to wait almost 2 hours in his waiting room. He may be an excellent doctor but if I kept my clients waiting 2 hours they'd stop being my clients. Something needs to be done there; something is just not right.
