He then visited and fell in love with the charm of the Charleston area. In 1989 Rick gave away his winter coats and moved to sunny Mt. Pleasant, where he opened his practice over 20 years ago. He and his wife, Krissa, have two daughters, Morgan and Kaitlyn. Spending time with his family is on the top of his to do list along with traveling to new places, boating, fishing, riding bikes and reading.
