Dr. Richard Eric Jacobi, MD

This was my first in-person visit with Dr. Jacobi, having “seen” him once virtually. Both times I found him to be exceptionally bright, very well-educated, up-to-date on topics I inquired about, very kind, caring, and compassionate. He was very focused and left no stone unturned as he asked many questions and dispensed sage measured advice, recommending small adjustments rather than major changes. I never felt rushed and he even had to unlock the doors to let me out since the staff had already left for the day. I am so grateful that Dr. Jacobi agreed to accept me as a patient. If you're fortunate enough to have Dr. Jacobi for your physician, you are blessed indeed!

I was referred to a physician by my counselor to obtain antidepressant drugs after being in an abusive relationship and near suicidal. Dr. Jacobi did write the prescription, but only after saying that sometimes relationships are 80/20% in terms of work put in, implying that my part was the 80% and I should just suck it up. After already being minimized and devalued in my relationship, this was exactly the opposite of what I needed at the time, and had I been a different person, might have been a fatal mistake (literally) on his part. On top of that, he proceeded to tell me that what I knew was toe fungus was due to tight fitting shoes. I don't wear tight fitting shoes. Six years later, I still have unresolved fungus on that toe, confirmed as such by my brother in law who is a physician. I do not recommend this doctor.
