I saw Dr. Jones a couple years ago when I had a baby and was breastfeeding. Dr. Jones found a very uncommon issue in my leg that I've had problems with my whole life. He said he had never seen this before in all his years of practice, but instantly had a solution- laser vein surgery. I was a bit nervous because he'd never seen this before so I wondered how much he really knew about it...?? I could not have the surgery while breastfeeding. Then recently (not breastfeeding anymore) I spent two months of greuling effort trying to convince my insurance company to cover my very unusual vein surgery with Dr. Jones... because he started it out by telling my insurance that I didn't have everyday problems (not true) and he did not submit the photos he took of me. When I finally got the surgery covered by my insurance and made the surgery appointment, I never heard anything from him about the surgery. So a few days before, I made an appointment to ask a few questions. He was annoyed that… I didn't see someone he supposedly referred me to talk to (was breastfeeding for TWO YEARS, no surgery!!) again, two years ago. Then he kept saying to me something like, "If you have any questions or concerns, you should talk to someone else." The whole time I thought he meant get a second opinion or something and reschedule my appointment with him because of the way he worded it and skirted around it. He kept trying to get up and leave but I wanted to ask questions, still thinking he would do my appointment. At the very end, I got it out of him and he told me he wouldn't be doing my surgery. Possibly because he had his ego bruised?? Maybe it was because I mentioned he had never done surgery on my type of problem before. It was too weird! I was furious after he walked out and I would NEVER advise ANYONE to see this confused and wishy-washy doctor!!
