Dr. Richard Lawrence Jones, MD

My mother is elderly and requires a lot of medical managment. However when I inquired about her treatment I was treated with disrespect by Dr Jones PA. I complained to him about this so he called my mom into his office and discharged her because of the complaint. He then proceeded to tell my mom that she was not allowed to use any Sage West facilities or doctors. This officially eliminates 90% of the doctors in Fremont county, and prevents her from using the ER in Riverton or Lander. This is not the only incident, in the past my mother had a continuous bleed in her GI tract and for over 2 years he refused to send her somewhere where she could receive treatment which he could not provide. I actually had to get into a verbal argument with him about this and had to threaten him with a law suit if he did not refer her to Denver. He did but only after he screamed at me and told me that she was now my responsibility. She was sent to Denver and they fixed the GI bleed. He obviously was… not happy about that encounter, or any since. I would not trust this doctor, from my experience, he is the type of doctor that relies on antiquated doctor patient relationships where he feels he is GOD and that the patient is responsible to do exactly what he says without questioning him. This Man needs to stop being a doctor if he cannot do his job as a medical consultant instead of a dictator.
