Dr. Richard Uwaka Kalu

I arrived for a scheduled appointment on 4/9/2025. I spoke with the receptionist and asked for the out of pocket cost for the appointment. I also requested any out of pocket cost for any procedure they deemed necessary. The reason being, is I wanted a full understanding of my financial responsibility compared with my insurance. The receptionist said my insurance is great and I owe $0 for the visit. After speaking with the doctor, he said he had to look at the area of my body i was being seen for. He didn't say he was doing any sort of procedure, he just said he needed to look. I said no because I don't want to pay for it. Dr. Richard Kalu told me he had to do it because if I went somewhere else and he had not done it then he could get in trouble. I reluctantly agreed. After the appointment, I spoke with the receptionist again and she reassured me that I owe nothing. A week later I received a bill for the amount $358.19. I called the office and spoke to a Suzette who is the manager… there of the receptionist. She told me they take no responsibility.
