Excellent medical doctor; Knowledgeable, cordial and relaxed

Very dismissive. Felt worse after leaving than before I went in.

Never making this mistake twice. Most of the staff I observed in both one on one and co-worker interactions towards each other felt like they loathed their jobs. I5 was waiting in the lobby at least 30 minutes past my appointment time and then another 10 to 15 mins waiting for the doctor to come in the room to spend barely 10 minutes (max) in actual patient care. Two days later I bad to go see another doctor to get put on the correct medication. JUST SAY NO!!!!

I went to Dr. Kauffman a few times for allergies and a respiratory infection. They were basic visits so I thought until I read the notes Dr. Kauffman put on my Carilion Medical Chart. Some of the notes he put in my chart had nothing to do with my illness or diagnosis. He didn't even mention or speak with me about the topics he felt the need to note in my chart. BEWARE if you've seen Dr. Kauffman past or present the unknown notes he puts in your chart. ALL CARILION DR'S READ THEM!

I wish I had read the previous reviews before going to Dr. Kauffman. I agree with the last review he seems be genuine at first but then you would have better luck getting the wall to really listen to you and your symptoms. First five minutes of the visit were great but if your really sick or need to fully examined don't expect much!!

My first visit with Dr. Kauffman was great. He really seemed to listen to what I was saying, showed compassion, and comes of like he really cares. I am sad to say that attitude did not last. Dr. Kauffman's true colors will show when you need him the most. He stops listening, becomes dismissive, and very inpatient during the appointments. Dr. Kauffman never followed up with me after any test or blood work. Don't let the nice smile fool you move on and find a Doctor who does sincerely care about their patients.

this is a caring doctor and I would recommend him to everyone.
