Richard F. Koup, D.M.D.
Dr. Rick Koup has been practicing dentistry since 1974.  After graduating from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1974, he joined the United States Air Force in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he served as a dentist to the enlisted men and women.  During this time, he also was afforded the opportunity to serve in a mini-residency in oral surgery.
Upon completion of his commitment to the Air Force, Dr. Koup returned home to Paoli in 1977 at which time he established his private practice on Paoli Pike.  He also taught at Penn Dental and treated children in a specialty clinic.
During the 1980's, the practice grew, and Dr. Koup moved to the Paoli Medical and Professional Commons at the end of the decade where the practice again expanded.  The practice welcomed his youngest son, Mark A. Koup, D.M.D. in July of 2005.
Dr. Koup has been honored in 2006 and 2008 by his peers a top dentist in Main Line Today magazine and belongs to the …American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry as an accredited Master of the Academy, and currently serves as president of the A.V. Purinton Academy.
A graduate of Great Valley High School and Ursinus College, Dr. Koup's interests include his grandchildren, fishing, boating, and his beloved golden retriever Misty.
