We appreciate how well Dr. Kravitz listens to us.

Dr. Kravitz took care of my brothers Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy from 2005 or 2006 up until 2014. He was one of the best doctors my brother had at Duke. Our family is forever grateful to have Dr. Kravitz take care of him and guide us.

Dr. Richard Kravitz is a poor excuse for an MD. He is a pompous -hind-end who doesn't know his tail-end from a hole in the ground. Take my SMA type 1 vent dependent daughter to him because Medicaid won't pay for out of state care (so he is the one and only SMA dr) and he doesn't even have a clue about clinical trails, medications in development, let alone name changes of drugs in development and this rooster sits on the Cure SMA medical board. Are you even kidding me!! All he wants to do is fuss because we use about .5 liters of O2 along with her vent. She sats around 94-95 w/o it and it makes us and her nervous. She complains she can't get her breath w/o it. Doesn't ever say anything else just fusses about supplemental oxygen. Won't call in antibiotics when she is sick. Tells us to wait it out and if she gets worse to call his nurse. Hardly any communication while we were in the PICU battling RSV last winter. Lied and said he checked on her daily in her room however he must have wore… an invisibility cloak because my husband or I were with our child 24/7 and we saw him 3x. A total jerk to ask any questions to. He can't even look his patients in the eye. Just stares at the ceiling while he talks down to you. I may not have M.D. after my name but I am a heck of a lot more intelligent than this dummy. Way to go Duke on hiring yet another fool to go with the collection of them that you already have.

Dr. Kravitz is wonderful

Dr Kravitz is a condescending jerk who does not care about the well being of your child. NEVER take your child to this idiot!! He is horrible and has no idea what he's doing.

Not intelligent enough to be working at Duke Hospital , especially with children. No personality and horrible bedside manor. My child has been under the care of another doctor at Duke Hosp under pulmonary until they resigned. My daughter has a severe pulmonary disease for which she is on oxygen, and other medical equipment to keep airway open. Had first appointment with him to get refills for meds first impression ,very concerned!. Was told to call his nurse to get her to refill meds . He acted as it was inconveniencing him to take care of her prescriptions. If you love your child seek another Doctor!!!

Dr.Kravitz never properly daignosed my son, we had to go back and forth to our primary care physician to finally have him diagnosed with asthma. He kept telling us to take him off of his meds and wait for a flare up! That was just stupid. Everytime we stopped his nightly doses of pulmicort, we would have to take him back to the doctor or the er!! Finally our normal physician told us to keep him on the pulmicort for preventative measures!!!! His bedside manner was horrible? He wasnt kid friendly at all he kept asking me to kep my 3 yr old silent while he talked to me...really?? He's 3, and hes going to talk in a doctors office!! He shouldnt specialize in pediatrics!!!!! We have not been back, we were referred to a new pulmonologist!!!

Dr. Kravitz is the rudest medical professional I have ever seen. I took my son to see him (had to wait 3 months for an appointment), and though he specializes in pediatrics, he seemed terribly annoyed by my children. He had no bedside manner, and no compassion for my son AT ALL. My son became upset during the appointment, and instead of completing the exam Dr. Kravitz just said he's fine (mind you, I can hear my son still snoring as I type this). I would not recommend him to anyone!
