Dr. Richard Krumdieck, MD

I was diagnosed with a rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, nearly four years ago. Dr. Krumdieck has been my guiding light through this entire journey. I received treatment at Novant Cancer Institute in Mooresville in 2022, and I'm grateful to say my cancer is still at bay today. What truly sets Dr. Krumdieck apart is not just his medical expertise, but his ability to teach and explain in a way that brings comfort. He took the time to help me understand my condition and what my future might look like. I'll never forget the time he drew out a colon to explain diverticulitis, sepsis, and my ruptured colon-completely unrelated to my blood cancer-just so I could understand exactly what had happened to me. Dr. K is unfailingly kind and patient. He always made me feel like I was his only patient, fully committed to my care every step of the way.
