Dr. Richard Lafayette is Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) at the Stanford University Medical Center. Founder and director of the Stanford Glomerular Disease Center and its fellowship training program. This interest has led to many evaluations and some elucidation of the pathogenesis of IgA nephritis and leadership in numerous clinical trials. He has more than 30 years of clinical experience and has more than 150 publications including more than 100 peer reviewed papers. He remains passionate in efforts to discover safer and more effective treatments for patients.

Been seeing the doctor for past few years. Always informative, cheerful, really gets to know me and seems so caring. Also, so good for my kidneys. Follow up has been great.

Just saw Dr Lafayette here at Stanford, really seemed great, gave me detailed answers to my question, made me feel really optimistic and know what is doing. Was referred because of his great reputation, apparently a doctor's doctor. Thanks!

Just finished my visit here at Stanford. So happy with Dr Lafayette. Spent just the right time, really knows my issues and is so expert and kind in helping.

I had a very sudden on-set of nephrotic syndrome. MY PCP sent me to Dr. Lafayette. Everything moved as quickly as possible to get me through a biopsy and to a diagnosis. His staff was extremely professional, effective, and kind. Dr. Lafayette was also kind, reassuring, informative, respectful of my competence and intelligence. He was very responsive to all of my concerns, and communications. I feel I am in very good hands.

Got in and out of the clinic just about on schedule. Very personal, informative and helpful. Great knowledge, really listens well. Most important, really understood my problem and helped to get on the road to improvement.

Dr. Lafayette is great 1-on-1 but you will not be able to get a hold of him or get any info you need unless you personally go to Stanford and demand what you want. He will not return calls or emails as promised...hollow promises!!!
