Dr. Richard Frank Lavi, MD

Before the visit, I was told that my son would be tested for antibiotic allergies and that it was an easy procedure to perform and that we wouldn't have to worry about anaphylactic shock. So I scheduled the appointment. During the appointment, Dr. Lavi didn't do any allergy testing and told us the only test is to give my son the antibiotic and see if he has a reaction at that time. Not only did Dr. Lavi do absolutely NOTHING, but then I received a bill for $120+. I spoke with the office manager about my concerns and that I'm all for paying for services rendered...but there was NOTHING done! If the first person on the phone would have told me the truth, that he does not test for antibiotic allergies....then, I would have not wasted my time or money. So I'm out $120+ and have to schedule an appointment with another allergist.

Dr. Lavy is by far one of the best doctors I have had the pleasure of seeing in my life! He is caring, professional, and very knowledgeable, and takes the time to listen to his patients and do what is best for them. I give him 5 stars, but I would give him 100 stars if I had that choice!!!!

I saw Dr. Richard Lavi today in Chardon. I really liked him. He took his time and explained everything and had a great sense of humor and made us laugh. I highly recommend him.

My daughter had an amazing experience at Dr Lavi’s office today. Took his time with her and made sure to explain everything that was going on. Glad he was recommend to us.

I saw Dr. Lavi in the spring to see if he could help me with my auto-immune disease. He offered no help. When I told him of the Elimination Diet & the positive affect it was having reducing the thyroid antibodies, he got in my face & said, "It's bunk!" He noticed my record stated that I had asthma. I told him it always listed as an allergy related breathing problem. I was unaware of who had changed it or when. He said he could do a test to determine if I had asthma. I thought, "Great." After the test, he came back & said, "My tests were all good, came back normal & that he highly doubted I had asthma." I said, "Great! Now you can write a letter & get that off of record & maybe I can get life insurance now!" He promptly stated that he wasn't comfortable doing that. What the heck? Then why did he do the tests? He was RUDE & ARROGANT the entire time. I would NEVER go back to him. I feel he should have refunded my money!

our initial greeting was a bit uncomfortable. The assistant that checked us in was quite rude and abrasive. Not a good first impression but the Dr is great! He spent a lot of time with us. Would recommend management educate staff on proper greetings.

Dr. Lavi is a wonderful doctor - he is compassionate and takes his time to listen to you. His staff is wonderful as well. I wish all physicians had the same bedside manner!
