Dr. Richard William Leno, MD

Dr. Leno was compassionate and patient desite the seeming chaos of the ER. Reading reviews of his not being attentive to people with a cold it makes me chuckle, he was very attentive to people with broken bones, chest pain and other serious conditions. I was very happy to have him caring for my husband.

Refused to do any diagnostic testing and sent me home. Turns out I have gallstones.

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and had to visit the ER for abnormal swelling in one of my ankles. The concern being a possible blood clot. Dr. Leno was friendly, thorough, attentive and did everything he could to expedite the process. He followed up with my OB's team on the spot immediately and made sure to brief me about what to watch for before I left. As far as ER visits go, I was very impressed.

I met him in the ER and he helped my friend. He has the most incredible bedside manner and gave me excellent advice about my friends condition. Lenox Hill is lucky to have him in their ER.

I went in to see Dr. Leno about a bad cold. He made me wait for over an hour, barely saw me for more than 3 minutes, didn't prescribe anything for my cold. To top it off, he charged me $289 for the visit!!! DOn't go to him!!!!

Dr. Leno saw me in the emergency room and did not properly treat me. I was suffering from mono and having a fever of over 100 for over 7 days. My regular doctor sent me to get hydration and steroids through IV in the ER and told me to have Dr. Leno call her when I arrived. He did not call the Dr. and told me I was just sick. I could barely walk or talk and was in need of medication immediately (of which I was on none). After waiting in the ER he released me with no medications and wrote I had an upper respiratory infection (of which I had no symptoms of). Dr. Leno did not properly treat me and I suffered until Monday until I saw my Dr. again who put me on the steroids I needed to get well. The nurse took a urine sample and traced an infection, instead of prescribing the standard Diflucan to rid the infection he told me to buy cream at the store!!! Ummm that didnt work and I again suffered all weekend until I got a prescription. Dr Leno how can you just let someone go in so… much pain, fever and infection in there body with no prescription????? I was too sick to realize this all at the time. After all it took all my energy to take and wait in the ER so sick just to get home even sicker and with no medication!!!!!!!!
