Dr. Lessman was raised in California, and went to college and to medical school at UCLA; he did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at USC, and was Senior Resident in Medicine from 1975-1976. He did his Nephrology fellowship at the Wadsworth VA Hospital and UCLA. Dr. Lessman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in the specialty of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty of Nephrology. Dr Lessman was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine on the clinical faculty of the UCLA School of Medicine from 1977 until 1990.
He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, Southern California chapter, the International Society of Nephrology, the Ventura County Medical Society, the California Medical Association, and The AMA.
Dr. Lessman has been on the medical staff at Los Robles Medical Center since 1977 and served on the Board of Trustees from 1987-1989. He has been Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics …Committee since 1979.
