The best mental health doctor in the Bay Area

After parent and adolescent patient told Levine all about the patient's anxiety, depression, and other debilitating problems, Levine actually told patient to stop whining and said that it made him (Levine) feel like "strangling" the patient. Devastating for the young patient, and severely damaged the patient's ability to trust any psychiatric professionals. If this doesn't recalibrate Levine's rating, we'll know that he has somehow manipulated the patient feedback at this sight.

After I visited Dr. Levine, my monthly costs for medication went down because of 2 important reasons:1) accurate diagnosis and Dr. Levine only gave me the exact amount of medication so I wasn't overly medicated as before.2) Dr. Levine's vast knowledge of generic brands for the same medication.

I would second-guess getting an appointment with this doctor. I do not think he is compasionate and communicate well with a patient (based on my experiece). He rather discuss serious concerns with third parties rather than with you directly. He also does not validate your concerns about secondary effects caused by medication. He is not educated about drug interactions with herbal supplements. He appears to be nice in the surface but I think he realy is not. He spents short amount of time in the visits. He does not try to gain your trust and does not interwview you througly. I do not recommend him at all. I can not believe he got a 4 start rating by the other patient. He probably lost a bet or got brived to do it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Levine's for roughly 10 years now, and he is by far the best psychiatrist I have ever had the pleasure of working with.Highly recommended!
