Dr. Richard Mathew Lewis, MD

Arrogant, lousy doctor.

Find him to be very helpful. Listens to my concerns and lets me assist with individualized plan of care.

I saw Dr. Lewis once on an inpatient basis at Harford Memorial Hospital. The time that I spent with him talking (about 20 minutes) he lied to me about my discharge, changed my voluntary status to involuntary, had another doctor certify me at his demand, lied about my behavior and stated that I was uncooperative and unwilling to talk, and generally acted like he knew everything about me in just the 20 minutes that we spoke for. I had positive experiences for the most part with the rest of the hospital staff, but dr. Lewis was a negative experience. I will NOT be seeing him again.

Very condescending and unfriendly. Not at all competent. Failed to appropriately diagnosis and treat my now ex. husband who was brought in by the police for suicidal and homicidal ideation. Without doing a proper work up or speaking to me, Dr Lewis discharged him, leaving myself and my children at risk. This Dr is clearly not at all experienced in dealing with sociopaths or domestic violence. Very sad situation, only made worse by someone who is supposed to help not just the patient but the family as well. Pathology might be a much better speciality choice for Dr. Lewis.

Very arrogant. No compassion. Sarcastic. Down right cruel.
