Dr. Richard John Looney, MD

He lost caring for people long ago. How can this man still be practicing medicine, he is the rudest, most unpleasant person.

Dr. Looney was dismissive, rude and arrogant. He was inappropriate and should reconsider why he is practicing medicine. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. Do not be fooled by his credentials and or longevity in his career. He should have retired years ago. Shame on him and is corrupt moral code.

A Dr with extensive knowledge although is very arrogant and not good with patients, a poor experience.

Worst experience as a paitent I've ever had.

Dr. Looney really takes the time to listen and ask questions. This was especially important in my case because nothing is typical. He is also human enough to say he wasn't quite sure what was going on rather than acting like he had all the answers when he does not. It was worth the lengthy wait to see him--- wait for an appointment not wait at the office.

I was really desperate to see Dr. Looney, as I needed to know if my 24/7 scratchy throat & cough were due to an allergy. As it turns out it was a reaction/side effect to a heart med. But Dr. Looney's office did everything in their power to get me in asap. The staff was absolutely wonderful from the very first phone call, through the initial reception area, to the nurse & assistants to check-out. Dr. Looney focused on what he knew was pertinent to ask & discuss, but he did listen to me, without rushing me through. I tried very hard to be concise, because I could see how busy he was. But at no time did I get the feeling that he was rushing me. I felt like I was his priority for the time I was there. He was kind, respectful & caring. I'm very, very pleased.

Dr. Looney is patient, understanding, and always tries to get to the root of your problem for an accurate diagnosis.Since he teaches and runs clinical trials, it can be tough to get an appointment.

Dr. Looney saved my life. He is an amazing doctor. I have got to know him very well over the past 6 years and can say that he is the best doctor that I have ever had. I refer people to him all the time. Thank you Doctor looney for saving my life!!

Dr. Looney is great! He has twice (TWICE) immediately and correctly diagnosed two different conditions that have been bothering me for 2 and 14 years, respectively. I am no longer bothered by the first and am undergoing surgery for the second. He is kind, understanding, very bright and has a sense of humor.

I saw Dr.Looney about 3 years ago, he asked me why I thought I had Lupus, and I told him that I didn't think I had Lupus, and he asked me a couple more times, and I replied with the same answerand when I tried to tell him what prob-lems I was having, he just said that he just wanted to know the Lupus symtoms I replied that I didn't know why my GP thought I had Lupus and as far as I knew I didn"t really know if I was having those symptoms or not as I was not familiar with what I should tell him. Thoroughlyconfused, he made a follow-up appt. forme, and that appt. also was a waste as far as My husband and I were concerned.
